Fixed price from €65 · about 20–35 minutes · door-to-door in a premium Mercedes

Book your transfer

Travel directly from Helsinki Airport (HEL) to anywhere in Espoo in a private, pre-booked Mercedes with an English-speaking driver. Your driver tracks your flight, meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, and takes you straight to your hotel, home or office — whether that is Tapiola, Otaniemi, Keilaniemi, Leppävaara, Matinkylä, Espoonlahti, Espoon keskus, the seaside villas of Westend, or the lakeside edge of Nuuksio National Park. No taxi queue, no meter climbing in traffic, and a price that is fixed the moment you book. We have been driving international travellers across the Helsinki capital region since 2008, and Espoo is part of our home service area.

Prices below are starting fixed fares for the Helsinki Airport ↔ Espoo route. Espoo is part of our home service area, so its central districts are covered at our minimum fixed fares. The exact price for your specific address, date and time is calculated instantly in the booking form above — and stays fixed once you book.

Why pre-book a transfer to Espoo

A fixed price, not a running meter. A metered taxi from the airport into Espoo climbs with every red light and every minute of traffic on Ring Road I (Kehä I) or the Länsiväylä. With us you see the full price before you book and pay exactly that, whatever the traffic and whatever the time of day. There is no airport surcharge, no night-time surprise and no meter ticking while you sit in a queue.

Door-to-door across a spread-out city. Espoo is not one downtown but a network of districts spread across a wide area, from Leppävaara and Tapiola to Otaniemi, Matinkylä, Espoonlahti and Espoon keskus, and out to Nuuksio. Public transport from the airport means a train or bus into Helsinki, a change onto the western metro or rail line, and then a local connection — awkward with luggage and slow if you are heading to an address rather than a station. A private transfer takes you from the arrivals hall to your exact door in one car.

Room for families, teams and luggage. Travelling as a group, or arriving for a conference in Keilaniemi with demo equipment and materials? A premium Mercedes minivan seats up to 8 passengers with their bags in a single vehicle — no splitting the group across several taxis, no haggling over fares at the rank.

And because we have driven business and leisure visitors to the capital region since 2008, we know Espoo's districts, its corporate campuses and its hotels — so your transfer is planned around where you are actually going, not around the nearest station.

Getting from the airport to Espoo

Helsinki Airport sits just north-east of Espoo, so the drive is short — typically 20 to 35 minutes depending on which district you are heading to and the time of day. Central Espoo — Leppävaara, Tapiola, Otaniemi and Keilaniemi — is roughly 20 to 30 km from the terminal via Ring Road I (Kehä I) and the Turku motorway (Turunväylä) or the coastal Länsiväylä. Matinkylä, Espoonlahti and the western districts are a little further, and Nuuksio National Park in the north is about 30 km.

It is an easy, mostly motorway run, but a comfortable car still matters in winter, when daylight is short and the roads are snow-covered, and at rush hour, when Kehä I is one of the busiest roads in Finland. You travel in a clean, modern Mercedes with a professional local driver who knows every part of the capital region and the quickest way to your specific address.

We are a pre-booked service (book at least 24 hours ahead). After booking you receive an email confirmation with your booking reference and your driver's meeting instructions, and your driver tracks your flight — so if you land late, the car is still waiting, with up to 60 minutes of free waiting time included.

About Espoo — Finland's city of five centres

Espoo is Finland's second-largest city, immediately west of Helsinki and effectively part of the same capital region — yet it feels nothing like a dense downtown. With more than 300,000 residents, it is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, but instead of a single centre it is built around five district hubs — Leppävaara, Tapiola, Matinkylä, Espoonlahti and Espoon keskus — spread among forests, lakes and a long Baltic shoreline. That polycentric layout, and the fact that so much of the city is residential or set in nature, is exactly why a door-to-door transfer makes so much sense here: there is no one place a taxi rank can serve.

Espoo is also where a remarkable amount of Finland's economy, science and design lives. It is home to Aalto University and one of northern Europe's densest technology clusters, to landmark modernist architecture, to the headquarters of household-name companies, and to the gateway of Nuuksio National Park. For an international visitor that means Espoo can be a business destination, a family holiday and a nature escape — sometimes all on the same trip.

Tapiola — garden city, art and culture

Tapiola is the cultural heart of Espoo and the district most visitors come to see. Built in the 1950s and 60s as a model "garden city", it is a celebrated piece of Finnish modernist urban planning, where low-rise architecture sits among pools, fountains and greenery. At its centre, the WeeGee Exhibition Centre houses EMMA — the Espoo Museum of Modern Art — one of the largest modern-art museums in Finland, alongside several smaller museums under the same roof.

Next door, the Espoo Cultural Centre (Espoon kulttuurikeskus) hosts concerts and performances, and is home to the acclaimed Tapiola Sinfonietta chamber orchestra. Around them are the Tapiola fountain and reflecting pools, the central tower and a compact shopping centre, with the Tapiola metro station linking it straight into Helsinki. For art, architecture and a calm, green city break, Tapiola is the obvious base.

Otaniemi, Keilaniemi & Leppävaara — business, technology and Aalto University

On the peninsula just east of Tapiola lies Otaniemi, the brain of the region — the campus of Aalto University, with its landmark modernist buildings, the VTT research centre, and one of the densest start-up and technology communities in the Nordics. Right beside it, Keilaniemi is a cluster of corporate towers on the sea, home to the headquarters of major Finnish companies such as KONE, Fortum and Neste, and connected to Helsinki by its own metro station. Together, Otaniemi and Keilaniemi draw a steady stream of business travellers, conference delegates and visiting academics all year round.

To the east, Leppävaara is Espoo's busy commercial and transport hub, built around the Sello shopping centre — one of the largest in Finland — and a major rail station. Whether you are flying in for a meeting in a Keilaniemi tower, a conference at Aalto, or a day at Sello, your driver takes you straight from the terminal to the door, with your flight tracked in case of delay.

Westend, the coast and the Espoo archipelago

Espoo has a long, beautiful Baltic shoreline, and some of Finland's most exclusive addresses sit along it. Westend, near Tapiola, is among the most affluent residential districts in the whole country — a quiet, leafy enclave of seaside villas — and neighbouring Haukilahti and Nuottaniemi share the same coastal calm, with marinas, beaches and the Haukilahti water tower café looking out over the gulf.

Beyond the mainland, the Espoo archipelago scatters out into the sea, with summer cottages, sailing routes and island restaurants reachable from the marinas. In the warmer months the coast comes alive with boats; in winter the same shoreline freezes into a quiet white landscape. Wherever your address — a villa in Westend, a marina, or a hotel by the water — we will take you there directly from the terminal.

Nuuksio National Park, Haltia and the Reindeer Park

North of the built-up districts, Espoo opens straight into wilderness. Nuuksio National Park is a landscape of old forest, rocky cliffs and dozens of small lakes, and one of the most accessible national parks in all of Finland — a true taste of Finnish nature barely half an hour from the airport. Its gateway is the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia, a striking all-wood building beside Pitkäjärvi lake that introduces the nature of the whole country under one roof.

Within the park, the family-owned Nuuksio Reindeer Park (Nuuksiontie 83) is the southernmost place in Finland where you can meet live reindeer — feed them lichen, hear about their life from the keepers, and warm up with campfire coffee and a bun in a traditional Lappish kota hut. It is about 30 km from both Helsinki Airport and the city centre, making it an easy and memorable half-day out for families and groups. A private transfer is by far the simplest way to reach Nuuksio and the Reindeer Park, since public transport involves a train to Espoon keskus and an infrequent connecting bus.

Serena, Gallen-Kallela and more to see

Families have plenty more to choose from in Espoo. Serena, in the Lahnus area to the north, combines Scandinavia's largest year-round water park with Serena Ski — a compact downhill resort with five illuminated main slopes and a snow park — so the same destination works for a summer water day or a winter ski afternoon. Closer to the coast, the Gallen-Kallela Museum at Tarvaspää is the romantic studio-castle of the painter Akseli Gallen-Kallela, set in woodland by the sea.

In the west of the city, Espoon keskus is home to Espoo Cathedral (Espoon tuomiokirkko), a medieval stone church that is the oldest building in Espoo, while the Glims farmstead museum nearby preserves old rural Finland. Add the city's golf courses, marinas and forest trails, and Espoo rewards far more than a single visit.

Where to stay in Espoo

Espoo has hotels for every kind of trip, and naming a few helps you place your transfer. By the sea in Otaniemi, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Espoo (Otaranta 2) sits beside the Keilaniemi business district and Aalto University, with an indoor pool and sauna — a favourite for conference and university visitors. In Tapiola, the Original Sokos Hotel Tapiola Garden puts you in the middle of the garden city's culture and shopping. In Leppävaara, Scandic Espoo (Nihtisillantie 1) is steps from the Sello centre and the rail station, while Hotel Matts (Tynnyritie 1) in the Olari/Matinkylä area is a well-rated modern option in the south of the city.

For something different, Hotel Korpilampi sits by its own lake near Nuuksio for nature stays and conferences, and Hanasaari, the Swedish-Finnish cultural centre, has rooms on its own little island. Whichever you choose, just enter the hotel name or address in the booking form and we will take you straight there from the terminal — and back to the airport for your flight home — at a fixed price agreed in advance.

Combining Espoo with Helsinki — and why a private transfer

Because Espoo flows seamlessly into Helsinki, many visitors combine the two: a conference or hotel in Otaniemi or Tapiola in the day, and the restaurants, museums and harbour of central Helsinki in the evening, a short metro or train ride away. We are happy to handle every leg — airport to your Espoo hotel, day trips into Helsinki or out to Nuuksio, and the final ride back to the terminal — all at fixed prices you agree before you travel.

The capital region's taxis are at their scarcest and priciest exactly when you most need one: late arrivals, early conference mornings, big event weekends. A pre-booked, fixed-price car removes that gamble — a professional, English-speaking driver, a clean modern Mercedes, a name sign in arrivals, and a price set in advance. For business travellers on a schedule it is the calmest way to begin a trip, and for families and groups it keeps everyone, and everything, together.

Arriving for business, a conference or a holiday?

Espoo runs heavily on business and technology traffic. Otaniemi and Keilaniemi host a steady calendar of corporate events, congresses and university gatherings, and the days around the biggest of them are the hardest for finding a taxi on the spot. Pre-booking your airport transfer means a driver is confirmed and timed to your arrival, with your flight tracked in case it runs late — so you reach your Keilaniemi tower, your Aalto venue or your Tapiola hotel calm and on schedule.

Leisure visitors have their own peak times: family weekends at Serena, ski afternoons on its slopes in winter, summer days in the Espoo archipelago, and year-round trips to Nuuksio National Park, Haltia and the Reindeer Park. For all of them a single premium Mercedes minivan carries up to 8 people plus luggage and gear directly to the door. If your visit spans several days, we can arrange return trips between your hotel and the venue, day excursions, and your ride back to the airport — just tell us your destination and dates when you book.

Yes. Nuuksio, the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia and the Nuuksio Reindeer Park are about 30 km / 30 minutes from the airport, and a private car is the easiest way to get there — public transport needs a train and an infrequent bus. We can also collect you afterwards.

  8. Is the price really fixed, even in traffic or at night?

A Business sedan seats up to 3 with 3 bags; a premium Mercedes minivan takes up to 8 passengers and 8 bags — ideal for families, teams or extra luggage. Child seats are available free on request.

  10. I'm arriving for a conference in Keilaniemi or at Aalto University — can you guarantee timing?
Yes. We track your flight and time the pickup to your landing, and we know the Otaniemi and Keilaniemi campuses well, so you arrive on schedule for setup or a keynote. For multi-day visits we can arrange return trips and your ride back to the airport.

  11. Do you also drive from Espoo to Helsinki Airport?
Yes — we cover the return direction too. Book it in the same form, or add a return when you book.
